Mistreating Women
This video contains statistics on violence against women in America, and argues that it is wrong to mistreat anyone, regardless of gender.
The statistics on violence against women in America are staggering. One in four women will be a victim of domestic violence in her lifetime, and one in six will be a victim of rape or attempted rape. Every day, three women are killed by their husbands or boyfriends. This violence is not just physical. It is also emotional and psychological. Women who are victims of domestic violence often suffer from depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. They may have trouble sleeping, concentrating, and making decisions. This violence is wrong. No one deserves to be mistreated, regardless of gender. We need to do more to protect women from violence, and to support those who have already been victimized.
